(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment have charged a 19-year-old male after police investigated an incident at a Norfolk Street South, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Friday, May 18, 2018 at approximately 11:35 a.m., police were contacted by a resident reporting a theft.
Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that a business owner located two (2) unknown males on his property. When both were confronted they fled through the field with the owner following. One of the males was apprehended by the resident while the other suspect fled on foot from the area.
It was determined through further investigation that a vehicle on the property had been entered and property removed.
As a result of investigation, police charged 19-year-old Sam Williamson of Norfolk County, Ontario with possession of stolen property under $5,000.
He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Simcoe at a later date.
