(PARRY SOUND, ON) - On May 21, 2018 shortly after 4 p.m., members of the West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a possible impaired driver riding a scooter in Parry Sound, Ontario. An officer located the vehicle on James Street and spoke with the driver. The officer determined that she had consumed alcohol.
As a result of the investigation, Robin JOHNSON, a 49 year old female from Parry Sound, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
Operate motor vehicle - over 80 mg, contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the CC.
JOHNSON was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound, Ontario on June 21, 2018.
The OPP reminds motorists that there is no safe amount of drug or alcohol consumption when driving. Anyone who suspects a driver that is driving while impaired is urged to call police by dialing 9-1-1 immediately.
