(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment has charged a 29-year-old male after police investigated an incident at an Old Hill Road, Charlotteville, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Monday, May 28, 2018 at approximately 11:25 p.m., officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision.
Through the course of investigation, it has determined that the driver of a grey coloured vehicle was travelling along Old Hill Road when the driver failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The vehicle left the roadway and entered the ditch coming to rest in a berm.
As a result of investigation, police arrested and charged 29-year-old Patrick Thomas MCLELLAN of Hamilton, Ontario with the following offences:
Impaired driving
Driving over the legal limit
Assault a peace officer
Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Simcoe at a later date.
