(ONEIDA NATION OF THE THAMES FIRST NATION, ON) - On May 31, 2018 at approximately 5:30 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Munsee-Delaware Nation Police Service responded to an assault at a home on Oneida Road, Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation.
Upon their arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from injuries. The male was transported to hospital via land ambulance with life-threatening injuries.
Further investigation revealed a second assault victim. This person did not require medical attention.
As a result, 29-year-old male, Bronson Cody DOXTATOR, of Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation, Ontario, was arrested and charged pursuant to Criminal Code of Canada (CC) with:
Assault
Aggravated Assault
The investigation is continuing with resources from the Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation Police Service; Middlesex OPP detachment; OPP Provincial Liaison Team; and the OPP Forensic Identification Service under the direction of Detective Inspector Andy RAFFAY of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).
The accused appeared in a London court on June 1, 2018 to answer to the charges.
The victim and accused are known to each other and there are no concerns for public safety.
