(Tweed, Ontario) - On June 2, 2018 at 11:25p.m., Central Hastings OPP members had a RIDE program set up at McGowan Street and Victoria Street in the Village of Tweed, Ontario.
A Ford Focus approached the officers at the Ride Program and when the driver was asked to pull over to the side of the road, the driver failed to do so. The driver went northbound on Victoria Street. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle and the pursuit ended with the driver stopping on River Street, abandoning the vehicle and running into the south field.
With the help of the Emergency Response Team and the Canine Unit, the fleeing driver was located hiding in the field.

Having Open Liquor in Motor Vehicle
Operate a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance
Adult Class G1 Licence Holder - Unaccompanied by Qualified Driver
Fail to Notify Change of Address
Driver Motor Vehicle , No Current Validated Permit
Novice Driver- B.A.C. Above Zero
Drive Motor Vehicle Not Equipped with an Approved Ignition Interlock Device
Fail to Apply for Permit on Becoming the Owner
