(WYOMING, ON) - On June 1, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. a concerned citizen alerted the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in relation to a suspicious male who was the occupant of a Dodge Ram pick-up truck. Reportedly, the suspicious male had been sitting outside of a local business on Broadway Street within the Town of Wyoming.
Upon OPP arrival, the suspicious male was questioned as to his suspicious activity. A short time later, the male fled the area in the pick- up truck, entered a dead- end street at which time he exited the truck and fled on foot. The OPP gave chase, caught up to the male at which time he was arrested. Daniel Ryan COPE, 36 years-of-age of Sarnia, Ontario was arrested and charged for the alleged offences of:

Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle.
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000- have stolen pick-up truck.
Theft of Motor Vehicle- pick-up truck.
Driving while disqualified.
Assault a Peace Officer with a weapon.

Assault a Peace Officer.
Fail to Comply with Probation Order.
Fail to Comply with Probation Order.

Driving While Ability Impaired - motor vehicle (Alcohol and Drug).
Possession of a narcotic.
He was held in custody pending a Bail Hearing dated for June 2, 2018.
