(SEVERN TOWNSHIP, ON) - On June 03, 2018 the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call of a Robbery at a Washago business in the Township of Severn.
The ongoing investigation has determined that on June 3, 2018, at approximately 08:40 P.M., a lone male entered the business wearing a bandana that covered the lower portion of his face and approached the cashier while brandishing a knife. A demand was made for the cash register to be opened; however, the robbery was interrupted by a customer entering the store. The male fled in a dark coloured 2 door sedan, westbound on Muskoka Street. No one was hurt during this incident.
The suspect is described as:
Caucasian male.
6 ft. tall with muscular build and broad shoulders.
Short dark curly hair.
Black shirt with a picture on it.
Wearing dark clothing.
Tattoos on both arms.
