(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment investigated a fail to remain collision at a Queensway East, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Saturday, June 2, 2018 at approximately 12:21 p.m., OPP were called to investigate a fail to remain motor vehicle collision at a Queensway East address.
Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that at approximately 12:00 p.m., a 26-year-old male of Norfolk County, Ontario was riding his bicycle westbound on the sidewalk of Queensway East. A vehicle was pulling out of a driveway at a local Motel when the vehicle struck the front wheel of the bicycle. As a result, the rider lost control and fell off his bike suffering minor injuries
The driver of the blue coloured vehicle stopped, reversed and apologized and then immediately left the area.
Police are continuing to investigate and are seeking the public's assistance with this investigation. If anyone has any information, they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
Police will be reviewing security surveillance footage in an attempt to identify the driver of the vehicle.
