(PORT BURWELL, ON) - On May 27, 2018 the Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call from an indecent act on Robinson and Wellington Street in Port Burwell Ontario.
As a result of that investigation 49-year-old Harri RAM of Port Burwell was charged with:
Indecent Act in a public place contrary to section 173 (1)(a) of the Criminal Code X2
Disarming a peace officer contrary to section 270.1(1) of the Criminal Code
Resist peace officer contrary to section 129 (a) of the Criminal Code
The accused was later released with a court date on June 26, 2018 in St. Thomas Criminal Court.
The suspicious person that police reported to beach goers in Port Burwell on May 28 to 31, 2018 on the beach area is a different person. This male has already been identified by police.
Police are still encouraging other witnesses to come forward by calling 1-888-310-1122 with this suspicious person.
Police continue to be active in all areas of the County with plain clothed members, specialty teams, and marked units.
