(SIOUX LOOKOUT, ON) On Tuesday, June 5, 2018, members of the Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 72 near Sturgeon River Road.
During the vehicle search, investigators located and seized morphine pills with an estimated street value of $3000, a number of electronic devices and paraphernalia indicative of drug trafficking.
As a result of this investigation, Alex BEARDY (70) of Sioux Lookout, Ontario has been charged with Possession of a Schedule I substance Opioid (other than heroin) for the purpose of Trafficking contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act (CDSA).
He was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in Sioux Lookout Court on July 3, 2018 to answer to the charges.
