UPDATE #2
At 7:45 pm June 15, 2018 the body of a Tay Township female resident was located and recovered with the assistance of the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit (USRU) from the waters of Georgian Bay off Midland Bay Woods, Tay Township. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending the conclusion of the post mortem.

Emergency services in and on the water searching for the missing kayaker are asking for all private vessels to stay well clear of their search activities in Midland Bay off Midland Bay Woods. Thank you!
(MIDLAND, ON) -Members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Marine Unit were dispatched at 1:15pm this afternoon to a report of an over turned kayak off Midland Bay Woods in Tay Township. The Canadian Forces Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) has dispatched a Hercules search and rescue aircraft and a helicopter to the scene to participate in the incident. An OPP helicopter is also enroute along with the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit to assist the members of the OPP Marine Unit.
Currently officers are searching for what is reported as a female occupant of the kayak who is unaccounted for.
