(PERTH EAST, ON) - A motor vehicle collision which occurred on June 15, 2018 in the Township of Perth East remains under investigation by members of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
The two vehicle collision occurred shortly before 3:00 p.m., on Perth Line 37. A passenger car travelling eastbound on Perth Line 37 encountered a sport utility vehicle (SUV) as it approached the intersection of Perth Road 108. The SUV made a turn onto Perth Road 108, reportedly cutting off the passenger car.
The passenger car left the roadway, colliding with a hydro pole. Emergency responders at the scene transported the vehicle occupants to hospital with minor injuries. The SUV failed to remain at the scene.
The SUV has been described as a pearl white, newer model Jeep Cherokee. Perth County OPP are looking to speak with the driver, and are asking anyone with information to contact police immediately.
Perth Line 37 remained closed between Perth Roads 107 and 108 for several hours as hydro crews worked to repair the damaged line.
