(ORILLIA, ON) - On June 27, 2018, Emergency Management Simcoe County tweeted that there has been "quite a spike in opioid overdoses in Simcoe Muskoka over the past ten days."
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to remind the public that opioids and their derivatives are often used as a mixing agent within other illicit drugs, putting the public at risk.
Trafficking in opioids is a very serious offence. Dealers are knowingly distributing products that cause harm and could kill.
