(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment has charged a 19-year-old male with stunt driving following a traffic stop at a Highway 6, Caledonia, Haldimand County, Ontario address.
On Sunday July 15, 2018 at 2:56 a.m., OPP were conducting patrols on Argyle Street North near Caithness Street when a passenger vehicle caught the attention of police.
The officer noticed the vehicle to continue travelling north bound onto Highway 6 at speeds more than double the posted 80 km/hour speed limit.
OPP stopped the vehicle and investigated.
OPP has charged 19-year-old Dang NGUYEN of Toronto, Ontario with stunt driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
His driver's licence was suspended for seven days.
His vehicle was also seized and impounded for seven days.
He is to appear in Provincial Court Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charge.
