(FORT FRANCES, ON) - On July 8, 2018 at approximately 12:32 PM, members of the Rainy River District Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a call of a car in the ditch on Highway 602 in Alberton Township. Officers attended the scene and located a female. Through their investigation, officers determined that the female had alcohol in her body. The female was subsequently arrested and transported to the detachment for further tests.
As a result, Zoe Namaypoke, 26 years of age, of Fort Frances, has been charged with one count of Drive Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code. She was further charged with Novice Driver - BAC (blood alcohol content) more than zero contrary to section 44.1(3) of the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of August 13, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Fort Frances.
