Project Lifesaver
Project Lifesaver is designed to assist families that have family members in the home suffering from cognitive disabilities such as Alzheimer's, dementia, autism and Down syndrome who have a propensity to wander. The clients wear a small wrist bracelet transmitter. Should the family member go missing the police would be able to quickly track the client using a radio frequency antenna and receiver.
Central Hastings O.P.P. Launched Project Lifesaver in November 2017 collaborating with the Hastings-Prince Edward Alzheimer's Society to bring Project Lifesaver to the Quinte Region.
