(Marlbank, Ontario) - Central Hastings OPP conducted an investigation on April 3, 2017, when police were called to a residence near Marlbank in the Municipality of Tweed after the homeowner reported gun shots were fired at a vehicle parked in the driveway at 12:30 a.m.
Officers had attended the scene to investigate damage sustained to the rear portion of a pickup truck which is believed to be caused by a firearm. The home owners were in their residence when the damage occurred however no one was injured.
There were also traffic signs in the area that were damage by a firearm
As a result of the investigation Central Hastings OPP on August 1, 2018 have charged 33 year old James MOREY of Loyalist Township, Ontario with:
Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
Careless Use of a Firearm
Mischief Over $5000
Mischief under $5000
Firearm - Use while Committing offence
MOREY will appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville Ontario on August 23, 2018.
