(HURON COUNTY, ON) - A total of 80 charges were laid by Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers during the recent Civic Holiday Long Weekend traffic campaign (August 3 - August 6). The OPP focus for this campaign was the "Move Over Legislation" for emergency service vehicles. No drivers in Huron County were charged with this offence during the campaign. The bulk of the charges were for Speeding (57) and Liquor Licence Act charges (8). Six collisions were investigated by Huron OPP during the campaign with one collision involving injuries.
