(TEMISKAMING SHORES, ON) - On July 31, 2018 shortly after midnight, members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle near Third Street, in Englehart, Ontario. Further investigation revealed that the two occupants were in possession of suspected controlled substances for the purpose of trafficking.
The officers seized a quantity of shatter, marihuana, methamphetamine pills, and cocaine.
Bryhton CHESWORTH, 21-years-old, of Latchford, Ontario and Brayton EVANS, 20-years-old, of Latchford, Ontario are arrested and charged with the following:
Possession of a schedule II substance for the purpose of Trafficking- under 3 kilograms, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (C.D.S.A.),
Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking - other drugs, contrary to section 5(2) of the C.D.S.A.,
Possession of a schedule I substance - cocaine, contrary to section 4(1) of the C.D.S.A., and
Possession of a schedule I substance - other drugs, contrary to section 4(1) of the C.D.S.A.
Both accused were released by way of Promise to Appear (PTA). They are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on August 28, 2018, in Haileybury, Ontario.
