(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) - Members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit and Elgin-Middlesex Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) have charged a 44-year-old male with one (1) count of Voyeurism.
Police were contacted after an adult female observed what appeared to be a recording device placed near a window and focused on a change room area inside a private residence.
The victim, a 20-year-old female, is not a resident of said dwelling.
On August 7, 2018, members of the Middlesex County OPP Crime Unit executed a Criminal Code (CC) search warrant at a residence in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre. Police seized offence related property, including cell phones and mass storage devices.
As a result of this investigation, Scott MACDONALD of Middlesex Centre, Ontario has been charged with Voyeurism, pursuant to the CC.
The accused was arrested and released by way of Promise to Appear (PTA) and scheduled to appear in London court on August 29, 2018 to answer to the charge.
Members of the Middlesex County OPP Crime Unit continue to investigate this event.
