(CENTRAL HURON, ON) - A 41-year-old from Tillsonburg has been charged with Impaired Driving following a traffic stop that took place near Holmesville last week.
At approximately 10:10 p.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2018 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a cube van travelling eastbound on Huron Road in an erratic manner. A traffic stop was conducted and upon speaking with the male driver it was noted the driver was displaying several sings that he was impaired by a drug.
He was placed under arrest for impaired driving and was transported to the Grand Bend OPP Detachment so he could be tested by a Drug Recognition Evaluator. Upon completion of the tests the DRE deemed the driver to be impaired.
Terrence HUNTER, 41 years of age, from Tillsonburg has been charged with Impaired Operation by Drug. He has since been released from custody with a court date scheduled for September 17, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
