(HURON EAST, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an unlicensed driver from Brussels with Dangerous Driving & Fail to Stop for Police after she was ultimately tracked down by an OPP Canine Unit.
On Saturday, August 11, 2018 at approximately 12:05 a.m. Huron County OPP members were conducting Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) checks at the intersection of Front Road and Kinburn Line when a female driver dangerously drove toward the officers at the checkpoint. The driver failed to stop for the officers and sped away at a high rate of speed. Officers didn't give chase, however, shortly thereafter the same vehicle returned to the area of the checkpoint and took off once again. This time upon fleeing the driver collided with a bridge and continued westbound on Front Road.
A short time later police located the suspect vehicle parked at a Currie Line property in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh. West Region OPP Canine attended the scene and with their assistance the female driver was located hiding in a nearby barn.
Natasha BRADLEY, 23 years of age from Brussels has been charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Fail to Stop for Police & Drive Motor Vehicle - No Licence. She has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for August 27, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
