(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) - On Sunday August 19, 2018 at approximately 10:18 a.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a R.I.D.E. spotcheck on Conservation Road in Guelph-Eramosa Township.
Officers spoke with the driver of a sedan that entered into the checkpoint and determined that he had consumed alcohol. This was confirmed by a Roadside Screening Device (ASD) test that registered a positive reading. Police investigation revealed that the male was breaching a condition on a court order not to consume alcohol. He was arrested and brought to a local OPP Operations Centre to be processed and held for a Bail Hearing.
33-year-old Wojciech PUC of Guelph has been charged with Fail to Comply with Recognizance contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
