(FORT FRANCES, ON) - On August 30, 2018 at 2:10 am, officers of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of a motor vehicle collision on the 300 Block of Third Street West, in the Town of Fort Frances.
Investigation revealed the driver lost control of the motor vehicle leaving the roadway and striking a residential structure. The driver, Stacey CRIDLAND, age 23 years of Fort Frances, was arrested and transported to OPP Detachment for breath tests. The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for the mandatory 7 days. The driver was subsequently charged with,
-Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle contrary to section 253 (1)(a) of the Criminal Code
-Operating a Motor Vehicle while exceeding 80 mg of alcohol in one hundred milliliters of blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code
-Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle contrary to section 249(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
She will appear in Fort Frances Provincial Court on September 17th, 2018 to answer to the charge.
