(BRANT TWP, ON) - On August 30, 2018, a South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol stopped a vehicle along Highway 9 in Brant Township. The driver was found to be in possession of illegal street drugs. Members of the Grey-Bruce Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) were assigned to continue the investigation.
As a result of the investigation, police seized methamphetamine and cannabis marihuana shatter. The estimated, combined value of the seized controlled substances is $1,540.00.
Police also seized offence related property that consisted of a cell phone, packaging material and a debt list.
Thirty-eight-year old Joshua HOWALD of Kincardine was charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of a controlled substance. He is scheduled to appear in court on September 19, 2018 to answer to the charges.
