(MUNICIPALITY OF TRENT LAKES, ON) - Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency crews attended a serious motorcycle collision on County Road 507 which occurred shortly after 3:00pm on August 31, 2018.
A pair of motorcycles were travelling southbound on County Road 507 when one attempted to pass the other. The passing motorcycle lost control and entered the ditch causing the driver to be ejected.
A 33 year old male driver suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a Toronto area hospital by air ambulance for treatment.
The circumstances surrounding this collision are still under investigation.
(SELWYN TOWNSHIP, ON) - Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency crews attended a serious motorcycle collision on Robinson Road which occurred shortly after 9:00pm on August 31, 2018.
A motorcycle was travelling southbound on Robinson Road when the driver lost control and entered the ditch. The motorcycle struck a culvert causing the driver to be ejected. The driver was not wearing a helmet.
A 56 year old male driver suffered life threatening injuries and was transported to a Toronto area hospital by air ambulance for treatment.
Robinson Road was closed at Young Street as members trained in Collision Reconstruction measured and documented the scene.
The circumstances surrounding this collision are still under investigation.
