(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment investigated a fail to remain collision at a Donly Drive North, Simcoe, Norfolk County address.
On Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at approximately 12:46 p.m., OPP and Norfolk County Paramedic Services were called to a fail to remain motor vehicle collision involving a scooter and motor vehicle.
Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that an 81-year-old female of Norfolk County, Ontario was crossing the intersection of Donly Drive North on her mobility scooter when a motor vehicle turning southbound from Queensway East collided with the scooter. The driver of the vehicle immediately fled from the scene which was described to investigators as a black coloured motor vehicle.
The female operating the scooter suffered minor injuries and was attended to by paramedics.
Police are continuing to investigate and are seeking the public's assistance with this investigation. If anyone has any information, they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
Police will be reviewing security surveillance footage in an attempt to identify the driver of the vehicle.
