(HURON EAST, ON) - At approximately 7:15 a.m. on Friday, October 5, 2018 Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a residence in the village of Brussels for a disturbance occurrence.
Upon arrival police located an intoxicated male on the property that had been causing damage to the home. Officers arrested the male and took him into custody without incident.
As a result of the police investigation Todd REGULAR 38-years-old of Palmerston Ontario was charged with three counts of Mischief and one count of Assault.
Later while in police custody the male complained of an injury. He was then taken to a local hospital where he received medical treatment for an injury. The accused remains in custody with a court appearance scheduled for today.
The OPP has notified the province's Special Investigations Unit (SIU) which has invoked its mandate. As a result, the OPP will not be able to provide any further information. Any other inquiries should be directed to SIU Communications at (416) 622-2342.
