(WALKERTON, ON) - A male driver is facing a charge of Refuse to Provide Breath Sample following a traffic stop that occurred on October 23, 2018 in Walkerton.
Just after 10:00 p.m. on October 23, 2018 a member of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a driver that was travelling on McNab Street in Walkerton. The driver was observed driving in an erratic manner. A member of the South Bruce OPP conducted a traffic stop and while speaking with the driver, the officer determined the driver had consumed alcohol. A breath demand was given to the driver however the driver refused to provide a sample.
Devon HUSK, a 20-year-old from Arran-Elderslie, Ontario, was placed under arrest and was subsequently charged with Refuse to Provide Breath Sample. He has since been released from court with a court appearance scheduled for November 14, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Walkerton. His driver's licence was suspended for an automatic 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
