(Kincardine, ON) - On Tuesday October 23, 2018, at approximately 5:00 a.m., a South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic on Bruce Road 20 in the Municipality of Kincardine. The officer observed a vehicle travelling at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 130 km/h, exceeding the posted speed limit by at least 50 km/h.
48-year-old Michael MARTINA of South Bruce Peninsula, Ontario has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. His driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
