(HURON-KINLOSS, ON) - Shortly before 5:00 a.m. on October 31, 2018, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) South Bruce Detachment attended an address on Lake Range Drive in Huron-Kinloss following a request to verify the wellbeing of a male occupant. The male was spoken with by police at that time.
Later that morning, members of the South Bruce OPP received a report of a sudden death at the same address and re-attended shortly before 8:00 a.m. The aforementioned male was located at the residence with vital signs absent. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) was initiated by officers prior to the arrival of allied emergency responders.
The OPP has notified the province's Special Investigations Unit (SIU) which has invoked its mandate. As a result, the OPP will not be able to provide any further information. All other inquiries should be directed to SIU Communications at (416) 622-2342
