(NORTH MIDDLESEX, ON) - On November 15, 2018, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a threats call at North Middlesex High School, Municipality of North Middlesex.
Police were contacted after a student showed a staff member what appeared to be a bomb-threat against the school on social media. The school day had already concluded and remaining students were asked to leave the school.
The threat against the school is being investigated by the Middlesex OPP Major Crimes Unit and is so far unsubstantiated.
"Middlesex OPP and school administrators continue to work collaboratively in regards to this investigation" - says PC Max Gomez, Middlesex OPP.
