(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) - On November 21, 2018 at approximately 6:30 p.m. Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a vehicle collision on Highway 8, just east of Stratford. It was reported that a pedestrian crossing the highway was struck by an east bound sedan.
OPP along with fire and paramedic services attended the scene. The pedestrian, a 77-year-old male, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. The driver of the sedan was uninjured.
The cause of the collision is currently being investigated by OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) and the roadway will remain closed until further notice.
