(WEST PERTH, ON) - On December 22, 2018 at 12:15 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Perth County Detachment were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program in West Perth. A female driver was stopped after trying to avoid the RIDE check point.
In speaking with the driver, OPP officers determined that her ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired. She was arrested and transported to the Sebringville OPP detachment for further testing.
Amanda MEINEN, 26-years-old, of the Municipality of West Perth was arrested and charged with;
Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration-80 plus
She is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Stratford on January 28, 2019.
