(HURON EAST, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Mitchell resident with Transportation Fraud after she failed to pay for her cab fare last week.
Just after 9:00 a.m. on February 7, 2019 Huron OPP received a call from a Stratford based taxi service reporting a fare refused to pay for her $74 ride and simply took off from the taxi driver into a nearby apartment complex.
The responding officer completed some door knocks within the apartment building complex and upon doing so the female suspect was located and arrested.
Jacquelyn DAWSAYER, 30 years of age from Mitchell has been charged with Transportation Fraud. She has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for March 25, 2019 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
