(PERTH EAST, ON) - Members of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were kept busy over the weekend, responding to a discouraging number of impaired driving incidents.
On February 16, 2019, Perth County detachment members were called by a concerned citizen about a possible impaired driver with a car in the ditch in the Township of Perth East.
OPP officers located the driver and determined that his ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired. He was arrested and transported to the Sebringville OPP detachment for further testing.
Dean MUIRHEAD, 25-years-old, of the City of Toronto was arrested and charged with;
Operation while impaired - alcohol
Failure or refusal to comply with demand to provide a sample
He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Stratford on March 11, 2019.

Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Stratford on March 4, 2019.
The dangers of driving while impaired are well known and pose a significant risk to public safety. The Perth County OPP is urging everyone to plan ahead and arrange for a designated driver or overnight accommodations to avoid a tragedy.
