(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers, including members from the Mount Forest Forensic Identification Services Unit (FIS) continue to investigate a break, enter and theft of firearms that occurred near Lucknow last week.
Investigators have determined that sometime between 12:00 p.m. on March 2nd and 2:00 p.m. on March 6th, 2019 those responsible attended a residence located on Bruce Road 86 and forced entry into the premise through an exterior door.
Once inside the home the thieves located and defeated a locked gun cabinet whereupon they proceeded to steal several firearms, a crossbow and ammunition.
At this point in time the following items have been reported as stolen:
An Excalibur Exocet crossbow with a lighted scope
A Marlin 30-30 336C Gold Trigger rifle with a Bushnell scope
A Stevenson 12 gauge pump shotgun
A Remington 870 Camo Turkey Special with a Bushnell holo scope
A Remington Mohawk 600 243 rifle
A Remington Nylon 10C-22 calibre with a Bushnell scope
A Thompson Centre Hawkins muzzle loader, 54 calibre
A Thompson Centre Sure Shot .22 calibre with a Scorpion lighted camo scope
A Mossberg bolt action rifle
Several boxes of ammunition
A value for the stolen property has not yet been determined.
