(TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHGATE, ON) - On March 16, 2019, while investigating a single motor vehicle collision on Southgate Road 26 in the Township of Southgate, a Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer detected an odor of alcohol on the tow truck operator who had attended the scene.
At approximately 3:23 p.m. the tow truck operator provided a sample of his breath into an approved roadside screening device and registered an "alert". The 47-year old operator from Municipality of Grey Highlands was issued a 3-day driver's licence suspension.
Two other tow trucks came to the scene to remove both vehicles.
