(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLLINGTON, ON) - On Friday March 15, 2019 just after midnight the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a loud disturbance related to a motor vehicle collision on Angelica Street in Fergus. Witnesses advised that a dark coloured passenger van was involved and was in the ditch.
Officers arrived at the scene and determined that the male driver's ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.
Johnathon BLACK, 26-years-old of Elora has been charged with Impaired Operation and Impaired Operation - 80 Plus contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
A 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment were initiated as per statute. He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on April 16, 2019 to answer to his charges.
