(TEESWATER, ON) - Just before 7:00 p.m. on March 26, 2019 members of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were monitoring the intersection of Bruce Road 4 and Bruce Road 6 in Teeswater for traffic infractions when they observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign.
The officers initiated a traffic stop and observed the driver showing signs of impairment and determined the driver had consumed alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to detachment for further tests.
The female driver, Siobhan Christine FIDLER, a 34-year-old from Teeswater, Ontario, has been charged with:
Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration 80 plus contrary to S. 320.14(1)(b) CC
Disobey Stop Sign-Fail to Stop S. 136(1)(a) HTA
The accused is required to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice - Walkerton, on April 24, 2019 to answer to the charges. Her driver's licence was suspended for an automatic 90 days and her vehicle was impounded for seven days.
