(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) - On April 1, 2019, at approximately 2:30 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on patrol and conducted a traffic stop on Ilderton Road, in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre.
Upon further investigation, police determined that the driver had consumed alcohol. The driver was requested to provide a road-side breath sample and the driver registered a 'FAIL'. The driver was arrested and transported to a police station for further testing.
As a result of the police investigation, 27-year-old Joshalyn HEYWOOD of Middlesex Centre, Ontario was charged with Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus), pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada (CC).
The accused was issued a 90 day Automatic Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. She is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in London, Ontario on May 7, 2019.
