(HURON-KINLOSS, ON) - Just after 6:00 p.m. on April 19, 2019 members of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a single motor vehicle collision at Hayes Lake Avenue in Huron-Kinloss Township for an impaired driver.
A citizen called 911 and stated that there was a possible impaired driver, driving a white van on Bruce Road 1 in Huron-Kinloss Township. Shortly after calling 911, the citizen advised that the white van had left the roadway and entered a ditch on Hayes Avenue in Huron-Kinloss Township.
When officers arrived on scene they observed the driver showing signs of impairment and determined the driver had consumed alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to detachment for further tests.
The male driver, Jordan HAMILTON, a 36-year-old from Kincardine, Ontario, has been charged with:
Operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs - S. 320.14(1)(a) CC
Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration 80 plus - S. 320.14(1)(b) CC
Adult operation while prohibited - S. 320.18 CC
The accused is required to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice - Walkerton, on May 15, 2019 to answer to the charges.
