(KINCARDINE, ON) - Just after 11:50 p.m. on April 25, 2019 a member of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) initiated a traffic stop on Highway 21 in Kincardine which resulted in an impaired driving charge.
A member of the South Bruce OPP initiated a traffic stop of a motor vehicle that was travelling southbound on Highway 21 in Kincardine. Through investigation the officer detected an odour of alcohol and determined the driver had consumed alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to detachment for further tests.
The male driver, Michael BOWDEN, a 45-year-old from New Hamburg, Ontario, has been charged with:
Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration 80 plus - S. 320.14(1)(b) CC
The accused is required to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice - Walkerton, on May 15, 2019 to answer to the charges.
