(PERTH COUNTY, ON) - Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Sebringville detachment responded to the report of a car in the ditch on Elginfield Road, east of St. Marys shortly after 7:30 p.m. on April 28, 2019. A witness observed a car fail to negotiate an intersection at Perth Road 123 and roll into the east ditch of Elginfield Road.
OPP officers responded quickly and determined that the driver's ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired. The male was arrested and transported to the Sebringville OPP detachment for further testing.
Robert PRUDHOMME, 56-years-old, of St. Marys was arrested and charged with;
Operation while impaired - alcohol
Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Stratford on May 27, 2019 to answer the charges.
