(NORTH PERTH, ON) - On April 30, 2019 at approximately 6:00 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), North Perth detachment responded to the report of a suspicious person in the area of Havelock Street in Town of Listowel. Witnesses contacted Police stating that a male was walking down the street looking in vehicles and possibly holding a handgun at his side.
OPP officers responded quickly located the male. Further investigation by Police revealed that the male was in possession of a pellet gun that resembled a handgun. The male was arrested.
Kyle WEIS, 26-years-old, of Hanover was arrested and charged with;
Possession of imitation weapon for Dangerous Purpose
Possession of a Schedule I Substance - Methamphetamine
He is scheduled to appear for in the Ontario Court of Justice, Stratford on May 27, 2019 to answer the charges.
