(NORTH HURON, ON) - A driver from Toronto is facing an Over 80 charge following a traffic investigation that took place this past weekend outside of Wingham.
At approximately 2:24 p.m. on May 4, 2019 Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received two separate driving complaints about a pickup truck that was travelling on Amberley Road toward Wingham. Shortly thereafter a Huron OPP officer located and stopped the suspect vehicle on Amberley Road just outside of Wingham.
Upon speaking with the driver the officer noticed the driver had consumed some alcohol. As such a roadside breath sample demand was given to the driver. He complied and his sample on the roadside device resulted in a fail.
He was placed under arrest and was subsequently transported to the Listowel OPP Detachment for breath tests. He subsequently provided two samples of his breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both of his samples registered over the legal limit.

He was later released from custody with a court date scheduled for June 13, 2019 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Wingham.
