(LISTOWEL, ON) - On May 9, 2019 at approximately 8:00 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), North Perth detachment were called by a concerned citizen about a possible impaired driver at a business in the Municipality of North Perth.
OPP officers responded quickly and the driver was located with open alcohol. Officers determined that his ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired. He was arrested and transported to the Listowel OPP detachment for further testing.
Andrew GOETZ, 35-years-old, of the Municipality of North Perth was arrested and charged with;
Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Stratford on May 27, 2019 to answer the charges.
