(CENTRAL HURON, ON) - Members from the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit, OPP Forensic Identification Services (FIS) Unit and the Ontario Office of the Fire Marshal (OFM) continue to investigate a fatal house fire that occurred last night west of Londesborough.
At approximately 10:30 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2019 a Huron OPP officer on patrol was alerted to an active fire at a two-storey farmhouse by witnesses. North Huron Fire Department was immediately activated and they responded within minutes to fight the fire.
The fully engulfed blaze was later extinguished and upon searching the interior of the residence an adult male was found deceased.
The deceased has been identified as Brian RADFORD, 62 years of age, from Central Huron.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place on Monday, May 20, 2019.
