(SOUTH HURON, ON) - A 58-year-old from Grand Bend will be making a trip to court in a few weeks to answer to charges of Impaired Operation & Over 80.
On May 22, 2019 at approximately 8:17 p.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer received a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver near the hospital in Exeter. A few minutes later the investigating officer observed the suspect vehicle travelling northbound on William Street near Huron Street. A traffic stop was conducted and the officer noted the driver was displaying signs of impairment. A Standard Field Sobriety Test (SFST) was conducted and the driver failed. The driver was arrested for impaired operation and was transported to the Exeter OPP Detachment for breath tests.
Two samples of the driver's breath were obtained by the qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both samples were determined to be over the legal limit.
As a result, Scott MACGREGOR, 58 years of age from Grand Bend has been charged with Operation While Impaired and Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus. The accused has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for June 24, 2019 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
