(KINCARDINE, ON) - Just before 8:00 p.m. on June 5, 2019 a member of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle on Highway 21 and after investigation arrested the driver for impaired operation.
When the officer initiated a traffic stop they observed the driver showing signs of impairment and determined the driver had consumed alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to detachment for further tests.
The male driver, Brian MCKEACHNIE, a 54-year-old from Kincardine, Ontario, has been charged with:
Operation while impaired by alcohol contrary to S. 320.14(1)(a) CC
Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration 80 plus contrary to S. 320.14(1)(b) CC
Operation while prohibited contrary to S. 320.18 CC
The accused is required to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice - Walkerton, on June 26, 2019 to answer to the charges.
